We are a service focused team, with dealer satisfaction and trusted relations being of the highest priority. At Airsys we believe that you cannot beat face to face contact with clients and therefore some travel will be involved.

Duties will include:

  • Address all technology related queries on time and in line with company SLAs.

  • Project manage system designs, builds, and where needed, installations.

  • Provide advanced technical support for customers to support pre-sales and post-sales processes.

  • Provide our dealers with subject matter expertise across the Two-Way Radio, LTE, IP Systems and PTT product portfolio, either through personal knowledge or leveraging others within the wider team, including manufacturers

  • Train dealers to use products effectively.

  • Prepare and deliver advance communication system training to Customers and End users.

Key Responsibilities:

The System & Solutions Engineer role breaks down into three key areas:

1. Project management & implementation

  • Collaborating with dealers to form comprehensive system designs to solve their customers’ challenges.

  • Project leading the engagement, partnering with the necessary internal resources to ensure a successful delivery of the agreed solution.

  • Complete oversight on projects from conception, to order fulfilment, and finally dealer sign off.

  • On occasion, assist dealers with system installations where necessary.

  • To operate aligned to industry standards, ideally Prince2, but not essential.

2. Presales and post-sales support

  • Partnering within the sales team (Sales and Product Specialists) to identify and qualify sales opportunities.

  • Understanding dealers’ technical priorities & objectives and mapping Airsys solutions to best support those requirements.

  • Providing inputs on proposed requirements for implementing and supporting new products based upon dealers’ feedback.


3. Training

  • Take charge of all training programs and carry out system training on customers at Airsys, on customer site or remotely.

  • Periodically develop new training programs where needed, to be added to the Airsys training portfolio.

  • Provide advanced systems training that supports the channel partners and their customers, with Statements of Work and Project administration discipline.

  • Experience of working within a similar customer focused function, and a demonstrated ability to work with clients.

  • Gain and maintain the highest levels of technical qualifications and expertise possible.

  • Work together with the workshop manager to support customer services

Qualifications and/or Skills

  • Engineering diploma or HNC in computing.

Previous Experience

Essential:

  • All Motorola solutions advanced qualifications CAPMAX, Tetra and DMR to be completed internally.

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer

  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)

  • Wireless Point to Point network experience

  • Knowledge & support experience of cloud hosting (inc AWS services)

  • Knowledge & support experience of Android & iOS communication devices and apps

  • Teamwork with good communication skills

  • MS Office (Word, Excel)

  • CompTIA Security+

  • Setup & support all client workstations (Setup of all user accounts and all required software such as VPN client, Office Packages, Antivirus)

  • Analysis skills and methodical approach to problem resolution and investigations

  • Understanding of the functionality of RF/IT communications and practical knowledge of test campaigns

  • Availability to work ‘out-of-hours’ during some weekdays and weekend.
